Overview

The Blues Brothers Show is a live outdoor musical performance in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida.

Jake and Elwood Blues arrive in their familiar black suits and sunglasses for a short set of rhythm-and-blues and soul music, joined by live performers in a street-show setup that puts the audience close to the action.

There is no ride vehicle, restraint or height requirement. Guests watch from the standing viewing area and wheelchair or ECV users can remain in their mobility device throughout.

Queue Details

There is no conventional queue.

Guests gather in the open viewing area near the stage before the performance begins.

An accessible viewing area is reserved for guests with disabilities near the stage and is marked with the International Symbol of Accessibility.

Because this is an outdoor street show, you do not enter a separate theatre or auditorium and there is no fixed seating.

The area can become crowded shortly before showtime, particularly around the front of the stage.

Transfer Info

There is no transfer requirement.

Wheelchair and ECV users can remain in their own mobility device throughout the show.

There is no attraction seating, ride vehicle or boarding process.

The accessible viewing area is positioned close to the stage, so wheelchair users can watch without needing to transfer into conventional seating.

Sensory Experience

The Blues Brothers Show is performed outdoors with amplified live music.

The soundtrack is loud and energetic, with strong vocals, drums, brass and rhythm-and-blues instrumentation.

Performers work close to the audience, particularly for guests positioned near the front or within the accessible viewing area.

The show takes place in an open street environment, so surrounding park noise, passing guests and nearby activity can mix with the performance.

There is no ride movement, darkness, water effect, 3D imagery or restraint.

Heat, direct sun, humidity and weather can affect the experience because the entire performance takes place outdoors.

Practical Tips

If you want to use the accessible viewing area, arrive before the performance begins rather than trying to move into it once a crowd has formed around the stage.

There is no general spectator seating, so anyone who finds prolonged standing difficult should plan around that even if they do not use a wheelchair or ECV.

Showtimes can vary by day, so check the Universal Orlando app before making a special trip across the park for a performance.

Show scripts are available for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, and sign-language interpreting can be requested in advance for selected live shows.

Jake and Elwood have been wearing the same black suits, sunglasses and hats for decades. At this point, changing outfits would probably count as a major attraction refurbishment.
