Overview

Po Live! is an interactive character experience in DreamWorks Land where guests can have a live conversation with Po from Kung Fu Panda.

Rather than appearing as a costumed character, Po appears digitally and responds to the people in front of him in real time.

He can answer questions, react to what guests say and lead parts of the interaction, making each encounter slightly different.

The setup is closer to Turtle Talk with Crush than a conventional character meet-and-greet.

Queue Details

Po Live! is located within Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp in DreamWorks Land.

There is no substantial conventional queue, although guests may gather while waiting for the next interaction.

The route is step-free and the experience takes place at ground level.

The experience lasts around 10 minutes, although the exact timing can vary slightly because the interaction is live.

Transfer Info

No transfer is required for guests using a standard manual wheelchair.

Wheelchair users can remain in their own wheelchair throughout the experience.

Stone benches are available for guests who prefer to sit during the show.

A soft floor area at the front is available for children who want to sit there.

There is no fixed ride vehicle, restraint or moving platform.

You do not need to stand or physically participate in an activity in order to talk to Po.

Po Live!

Sensory Experience

Po Live! is physically gentle but socially unpredictable.

Po responds to guests live, so you cannot know in advance exactly what he will ask or say.

Guests may be spoken to directly and unexpectedly.

The experience includes character dialogue, humour and reactions from other visitors gathered nearby.

The digital display is colourful and animated, with Po moving and reacting throughout the conversation.

The attraction sits within the wider Kung Fu Training Camp, so sounds from children, water play and interactive features may also be audible nearby.

There are no ride movements, restraints, dark environments or major physical effects.

Practical Tips

If unexpected social interaction makes you uncomfortable, remember that Po may address individual guests directly rather than simply delivering a fixed performance.

You do not have to volunteer to speak, but the live nature of the experience means every interaction is slightly unpredictable.

Because conversations vary in length, a small group waiting in front of you can sometimes take longer than expected.

This is much more interactive than simply taking a photograph with a character, so it is worth stopping even if you have already met other Kung Fu Panda characters elsewhere.

Po has somehow mastered kung fu, defeated several supernatural villains and learned to communicate through a digital screen. Babysitting his cousin is still apparently the difficult bit.
