Park Overview

Universal Epic Universe is built around Celestial Park, with portals leading into four highly themed worlds: SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.

The park covers a large area, with substantial walking or wheeling between worlds as well as within them. Public routes are generally step-free, but attraction access varies considerably. Some attractions allow guests to remain in a wheelchair, others require a transfer into the ride vehicle, and several have more demanding boarding requirements. ECV users should be particularly aware that most attraction queues and ride vehicles do not accommodate ECVs, so a transfer to a standard wheelchair may be required before entering the queue. Check the individual attraction pages for detailed boarding, transfer and sensory information.

Getting There & Leaving

How to reach the park, what the arrival actually involves, and what to expect when it’s time to head home.

Your journey to the park The main ways you’ll get from where you’re staying to the park entrance.

Universal hotel → complimentary shuttle bus → Epic Universe entrance

Helios Grand Hotel → dedicated hotel entrance → Epic Universe

Driving or rideshare → Epic Universe parking/drop-off area → park entrance

Staying On-Site Hotel shuttles, walking routes and the Helios Grand Hotel entrance

Universal hotel guests can use complimentary shuttle buses to Epic Universe. Universal’s water taxis do not serve Epic Universe.

Wheelchair users can remain in their securely fastened wheelchair aboard Universal’s resort shuttles. Guests using ECVs must transfer to shuttle seating. Ask the driver about boarding arrangements for your mobility device.

Guests staying at Universal Helios Grand Hotel have a dedicated entrance directly into Epic Universe, avoiding the normal shuttle journey altogether. Valid park admission is still required.

Driving & Parking Parking costs, accessible parking and the route in

Epic Universe has its own surface parking area at 1001 Epic Boulevard, separate from the parking garages used for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

Regular self-parking: $35. Prepaid parking is also available through Universal, with the current price shown when booking. Prime parking: $50–$60. RV/bus parking: $45. Prices include tax.

A same-day Universal parking receipt can be used if moving between Epic Universe and the main Universal Orlando garages during the same day, subject to the current re-entry rules.

Accessible parking is available with a valid disability placard or licence plate. Courtesy wheelchairs are available near Epic Universe’s accessible parking for the journey towards the front-of-park rental location.

Unlike the Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure garages, Epic’s car park does not require the long CityWalk journey before reaching the park entrance.

Rideshare & Off-Site Uber, Lyft, taxis and hotel shuttles

Epic Universe has its own dedicated rideshare and taxi drop-off/pick-up area at 1201 Epic Boulevard. Follow the Ride App Drop-Off/Pick-Up signs rather than the regular parking signs.

Standard Uber and Lyft vehicles may require a wheelchair user to transfer into the vehicle and store the wheelchair. If the guest needs to remain seated in their wheelchair, arrange an appropriate wheelchair-accessible service rather than relying on a standard car.

Off-site hotel shuttles vary by hotel. Check that Epic Universe is actually included in the service, where the vehicle collects at the end of the day and whether it can accommodate the mobility device you are bringing.

Leaving at Night Closing-time crowds, pickups and getting back

Epic Universe’s parking, rideshare and bus areas are separate from CityWalk, so you do not need to travel back through Universal’s original resort hub when leaving.

Hotel-shuttle and rideshare areas can still become busy around park closing. If using a wheelchair, allow extra time for accessible shuttle boarding; if using an ECV, remember that the resort shuttle requires a transfer into shuttle seating.

The dedicated rideshare pickup is at 1201 Epic Boulevard, so check your app and follow the marked route before ordering the car.

One useful difference from the older Universal parking complex: free self-parking after 6pm does not apply at Epic Universe.

Accessibility & Planning

Practical information to help you plan your day and know what support and facilities are available around the park.

Guest Services

Guest Services is located both before and inside the main entrance in Celestial Park and can help with accessibility questions, park information, ticket issues and other day-of-visit assistance. Large-print and Braille copies of the accessibility guide are also available from Guest Services.

Guests who use Universal’s Attractions Assistance Pass should follow the current IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card process before their visit. Mobility accommodations such as wheelchair-accessible queues or vehicles do not require an IAC simply because a guest uses a mobility device.

Mobility & Rentals

Manual wheelchairs and ECVs are available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair rental is located inside the park entrance to the left, while ECV rental is just inside the main entrance turnstiles at the stroller rental facility.

Wheelchairs currently cost $15 per day. Standard ECVs cost $75 per day and canopy ECVs $95 per day. A rental contract is required, and availability is not guaranteed later in the day.

Most Epic Universe attraction queues and ride vehicles do not accommodate ECVs. At attractions that can accommodate a standard wheelchair, an ECV user may need to transfer to a wheelchair provided at the attraction before entering the queue. The Untrainable Dragon is an exception and can accommodate ECVs in its attraction access arrangements.

Quiet & Low-Sensory Spaces

A dedicated quiet room is available at the Family Care Center, providing a more controlled place to take a break from the park environment. Nursing facilities are available there as well.

This is different from simply finding a quieter outdoor corner: the Family Care Center is the park’s dedicated option for guests who need a calmer indoor space. Ask Guest Services or a Team Member for directions if needed.

First Aid & Medical Support

Epic Universe has two First Aid locations. The primary First Aid Station is adjacent to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and a satellite First Aid facility is located at Guest Services in Celestial Park.

First Aid is staffed by registered nurses and professional paramedics. An adult changing table is available at the primary First Aid Station, and the Family Care Center also provides nursing facilities and a quiet room. Ask a Team Member or use the Universal Orlando app for the exact current location of the primary First Aid entrance.

Lockers & Storage

All-day lockers are available near the front of Epic Universe in Celestial Park on a first-come, first-served basis, with unlimited access throughout the day. Current on-site rates are $15 for the smaller all-day option and $20 for the larger option.

Some attractions also have separate lockers for loose articles. Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Stardust Racers are specifically listed as having attraction lockers, and additional fees may apply. Stardust Racers also requires guests to pass through a metal detector because loose articles are strictly prohibited on the attraction.

Attraction lockers are separate from all-day storage, so they should not be relied on as general park lockers.

Accessible & Companion Restrooms

All restrooms throughout Epic Universe include facilities that are accessible to guests using wheelchairs. Family restrooms are also available around the park and provide a more private option for guests who need assistance from a companion or caregiver.

Family-restroom locations are shown in the Universal Orlando app, which is the best way to find the nearest current facility while in the park. An adult changing table is available at the primary First Aid Station adjacent to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.

Celestial Park

↑ Back to areas
Practical accessibility

Celestial Park is the central hub of Epic Universe and the route between the park entrance and all four themed worlds, so it involves a lot of through-traffic throughout the day. The main guest routes are broad and step-free, but distances can add up quickly when moving between portals.

Guest Services and a satellite First Aid location are in Celestial Park near the entrance. The park’s Family Care Center also includes a quiet room and nursing facilities, making this an important area to know if someone in your group may need a calmer indoor space during the day.

Dark Universe

↑ Back to areas
Practical accessibility

Dark Universe is compact compared with Celestial Park, but the area around Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Curse of the Werewolf and the central village can become busy. Main guest routes are step-free, though attraction entrances and character activity can create tighter pockets of people.

Lighting and atmosphere are intentionally darker and moodier than much of the rest of Epic Universe, particularly around Darkmoor Village and indoor spaces. If the land feels too intense or crowded, returning through the portal into Celestial Park gives access to a brighter, more open environment.

How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk

↑ Back to areas
Practical accessibility

Isle of Berk has broad, step-free outdoor routes between its attractions, play areas and dining locations, but it is a large and energetic land with plenty happening around the main paths.

The land includes water-play areas, character activity and outdoor entertainment, so some parts can be noisy, wet or busy even when you are not joining an attraction. Allow extra time if you want to move around these areas rather than through the busiest central routes.

Super Nintendo World

↑ Back to areas
Practical accessibility

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD is entered on an upper level. The main entrance route uses escalators, but an elevator is available for step-free access — at the bottom of the escalators, turn right to reach it.

Inside the land, another elevator near Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure connects the different levels, so you do not need to use the stairs or escalators to move between them.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD can feel particularly intense visually and audibly. There are bright colours, animated scenery, music, game sound effects and interactive Power-Up Band activities happening throughout the land, often at the same time.

The compact layout can also make busy periods feel crowded and enclosed, particularly around Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure and the interactive game areas.

If you need a break from the activity, heading back through the portal provides a quick change to the more open environment of Celestial Park.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic

↑ Back to areas
Practical accessibility

The Ministry of Magic combines the streets of wizarding Paris with indoor attraction and entertainment spaces. The main public routes are step-free, but the narrower streets and concentration of shops, dining and entertainment can make the area feel crowded at busy times.

Epic Universe’s primary First Aid station is adjacent to this world and includes the park’s adult changing table. Family restrooms are available around Epic Universe, but their current locations are best checked in the Universal Orlando app rather than relying on a fixed list.
