Overview
Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie is a short indoor film shown in the Mickey Shorts Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The show combines new animation with clips from Mickey and Minnie shorts, following the pair through a series of holiday-themed adventures.
Wheelchair and ECV users can remain in their mobility device throughout the experience, with accessible seating available inside the theatre.
After the film, guests can explore themed photo locations inspired by the animated shorts.
Queue Details
There is no conventional ride queue.
Guests enter the Mickey Shorts Theater and wait indoors before being admitted into the auditorium for the next showing.
The route is step-free throughout and wheelchair and ECV users can remain in their mobility device.
Because the attraction runs as a repeating film presentation rather than a continuously loading ride, you may need to wait for the current showing to finish before entering the theatre.
The indoor waiting area is air-conditioned and considerably calmer than many of the surrounding outdoor areas at Hollywood Studios.
Transfer Info
There is no transfer requirement.
Wheelchair and ECV users can remain in their own mobility device inside the theatre.
Dedicated wheelchair and ECV positions are available within the auditorium, with conventional seating nearby for accompanying guests.
There is no moving platform, restraint or seat-based ride movement, so remaining in a mobility device does not remove any physical part of the experience.

Sensory Experience
Vacation Fun is shown in a darkened indoor theatre using a large screen, amplified sound and brightly coloured animation.
The film moves quickly between different cartoon scenes, with frequent changes in colour, movement and visual activity.
Dialogue, music and exaggerated cartoon sound effects are used throughout, including sudden noises that match the slapstick action on screen.
The theatre remains stationary throughout the presentation.
There are no 3D glasses, water sprays, wind effects, scent effects or moving seats.
The overall experience is visually energetic and occasionally noisy, but without the physical motion or immersive effects found on Disney’s 4D theatre attractions.
Practical Tips
Because the film runs repeatedly throughout the day when the attraction is operating, this is usually easier to fit around other plans than a show with only a handful of fixed performance times.
The theatre is indoors and air-conditioned, making it useful when you want somewhere to sit for a while away from Florida heat or rain.
You can skip the photo area after the film if you are not interested in it, or spend longer there without affecting the next group entering the theatre.
Mickey and Minnie somehow manage to turn taking a holiday into significantly more work than simply staying at home, which feels uncomfortably realistic.
